01

Oncological Acupuncture

Oncological acupuncture is a specialized branch of traditional Chinese medicine tailored to complement conventional cancer treatments and enhance patients' overall well-being. This integrative approach is particularly effective in managing a range of chemotherapy-related side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, peripheral neuropathy, pain, and insomnia. By stimulating specific acupuncture points, this technique helps regulate the body's energy flow (Qi), reduce inflammation, and promote natural healing mechanisms. Research has shown that oncological acupuncture can also help alleviate anxiety, improve appetite, and enhance sleep quality, making it a valuable non-invasive therapy for improving the physical and emotional resilience of patients during and after cancer treatment.

02

Acupuncture for Fertility

Fertility acupuncture integrates the principles of traditional Chinese medicine to support individuals and couples in their journey to conceive. This practice promotes hormonal balance, improves blood flow to reproductive organs, and reduces stress—key factors in enhancing the success of fertility treatments.

It’s important to note that acupuncture is not just for women. Men can also benefit, especially during fertility treatments, as more than 40% of infertility cases are linked to male factors, another 40% to gynecological causes, and nearly 30% remain unexplained.

While research on the effectiveness of acupuncture for fertility is still ongoing, the positive feedback and personal experiences of countless patients are highly encouraging. Additionally, acupuncture’s ability to promote relaxation and reduce stress plays a crucial role in supporting the success of fertility treatments, making it a gentle yet powerful tool on this journey

03

Acupuncture for  Addiction

Acupuncture is a natural, supportive therapy that plays a valuable role in addiction recovery by addressing both physical and emotional aspects of the healing process. Through the stimulation of specific points on the body, acupuncture helps reduce cravings, alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and promote emotional balance. This holistic approach complements traditional treatments by fostering relaxation, enhancing mood regulation, and supporting overall well-being. Research suggests that acupuncture can also help manage stress, improve sleep, and restore a sense of inner calm, making it a powerful tool in the recovery journey.

04

Acupuncture for Sleep

Acupuncture is a natural and effective approach to improving sleep quality. By targeting specific points on the body, it helps reduce stress, balance hormones, and calm the mind, promoting relaxation and deeper, more restorative sleep.

Studies show that acupuncture is also associated with an increase in melatonin, a hormone crucial for the sleep cycle. During sleep, the pineal gland releases melatonin into the bloodstream, and urine tests after acupuncture sessions often show elevated levels of this substance.

By combining science and the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture offers a holistic path to treating insomnia and other sleep disorders, providing not only more peaceful nights but also greater overall well-being

05

Acupunture for Mental health

Millions of people worldwide struggle with depression each year, facing a range of emotional and physical challenges that impact their quality of life. Acupuncture offers a natural and effective way to support mental health by alleviating symptoms such as anxiety, fatigue, and insomnia. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture helps regulate the nervous system, balance neurotransmitters, and promote the release of endorphins, fostering emotional stability and a sense of well-being.

Research suggests that acupuncture can complement traditional treatments for depression, enhancing their effectiveness while reducing reliance on medication. This holistic approach not only targets the symptoms of depression but also addresses its root causes, offering a pathway to improved mental, emotional, and physical health.

06

Acupuncture for Stress Relief

Acupuncture is a highly effective therapy for reducing stress by targeting specific points on the body. This natural treatment works to calm the nervous system, release muscle tension, and promote deep relaxation. By restoring the flow of energy (Qi), acupuncture helps enhance mental clarity, improve emotional balance, and alleviate the physical effects of stress. It supports overall well-being by helping you feel more centered, grounded, and at ease, providing a holistic approach to managing the pressures of daily life.

07

Acupuncture for Skin Health

Acupuncture can significantly improve skin health by enhancing circulation and promoting healing. By targeting specific points on the body, it helps balance the body’s energy, reduce inflammation, and address skin conditions like acne. This holistic approach not only supports a radiant complexion but also regenerates collagen, leaving the skin looking brighter, smoother, and with fewer wrinkles.

Due to its ability to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin, acupuncture is often referred to as "natural Botox." It helps reduce the signs of aging while promoting overall skin vitality and a youthful glow. This natural treatment offers a safe and effective alternative for those seeking to improve their skin’s appearance and health

08

Acupuncture for Women's health

Acupuncture supports women's health by addressing hormonal imbalances, menstrual cramps, and menopause symptoms. It helps relieve pain, reduce hot flashes, regulate the menstrual cycle, improve fertility, and promote overall well-being. By balancing the body's energy, acupuncture reduces stress and supports a more vibrant and balanced life.

This natural approach not only helps alleviate common women’s health issues but also enhances fertility and supports a healthier, more harmonious daily life. With its ability to restore balance and improve overall wellness, acupuncture offers a holistic solution for women at all stages of life

What is medical acupuncture ?

Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles through the skin and leaving them in place for a short time, sometimes with manual or electrical stimulation. The number of needles varies, but may be as few as four or five. Treatment may be once a week at first, but it can be more frequently, twice a week for example, if required. A typical course of treatment is six to eight sessions. Each patient's case is assessed by the practitioner and treatment is tailored to the individual.

Acupuncture stimulates nerves in the skin, muscles and other tissues and can have a variety of effects. It is known to increase the release of the body's own painkillers, including endorphins and serotonin, in the pathways of the spinal cord and brain. This changes the way pain signals are received by the brain.

But more than just reducing pain, acupuncture appears to have a beneficial effect on the overall health. Patients often report an improved sense of wellbeing and better sleep after treatment. Current research shows that acupuncture can affect many systems in the body - the nervous system, muscle tone, hormone production, circulation and allergic responses, as well as the respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.

Techniques similar to acupuncture have been used for over 5000 years. A comprehensive system was developed in the Far East and first introduced to Europe in the 17th century. However, widespread interest in the technique did not develop until the political events of the 1970s allowed travel restrictions between East and West to be removed. Increasing public interest in the subject over the last thirty or forty years has led to considerable scientific research, although much remains to be done. We now know much more about how acupuncture works, and some of the myths about it can be discarded. Modern imaging techniques have shown changes in brain activity - particularly in the areas responsible for processing pain and distress - and as we learn more, the possibilities for using acupuncture alongside conventional medicine increase. It is already available in most hospital pain clinics in Europe and Americas and is offered by a growing number of regulated health professionals in other settings, both within the public health sector and privately.

Before starting a course of acupuncture, the doctor needs to be sure that all the necessary tests have been carried out to identify any serious or potentially serious conditions that may require other forms of treatment.

What conditions respond
to acupuncture?

Acupuncture has been shown to be effective for a wide range of painful conditions and is often used for short-term relief of musculoskeletal pain, including chronic low back and neck pain, knee osteoarthritis pain, migraines and tension headaches, and temporomandibular disorders (TMD).  Some other situations in which acupuncture may be used are: improving the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, overactive bladder syndrome; shoulder pain; post-operative nausea and vomiting.

Research into acupuncture as a medical treatment has grown exponentially in the last 20 years, increasing at twice the rate of research into conventional biomedicine. During this period, more than 13,000 studies have been conducted in 60 countries, including hundreds of meta-analyses that summarise the results of thousands of human and animal studies.

Over a 27-year period, they found 2189 positive recommendations for acupuncture for 204 health problems, mainly in guidelines published in North America, Europe and Australia and Asia. These official recommendations indicate that the evidence for acupuncture is now accepted by medical experts and that acupuncture is no longer an 'alternative'. In fact, this new data shows that acupuncture is one of the most widely recommended treatments in modern medicine.
